My affiliate adventure - when the journey to success begins

Welcome to my Affiliate Adventure. You have found this page, which shows your strong determination to make a decent income from the internet. It also shows that you have what it takes to success, the necessary skills and motivation. In other word, you are like me. I will show you what this is all about.

Firstly I will introduce myself. My name is Melissa Lee. I am an engineering graduate and was not happy with the fact that I earned marginal income from offline job while it took so much of my time. For the past few years I have been doing lots of research and trying many different ways that I can earn some money online. I have found programs that pay a few cents here and there, which is hardly what I was looking for. I almost gave up when I struck this gold mine.

As you may be aware already, there is no such thing as doing nothing and earn money. If you find such claim on a business opportunity, you can be sure it is a pure scam. You will earn something if you provide something else of value to other people. It works that way both online and offline. Then one day I found something that will earn me cold hard cash providing I'm willing to WORK on it. It is called Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate marketing is selling someone else's product and get commission for every sale you generate. This is the easiest way to start earning online, and by far the cheapest way as you can start with very little, and often ZERO cost. Other great advantages are that you don't need to handle any products and shipping, and there is no customer service you need to worry about as the merchant takes care of all of that.

Merchant, or the product owner, usually pays very generously for their affiliates. We are talking about 50-75% of the product price for the commission. Why so much you ask, how can they afford being so generous? Think about it that they won't make those sales if the affiliates are not doing all the hard work, and those affiliates are basically FREE employees, the merchant doesn't need to pay any overhead cost for employing them. That's why they can afford giving so much commission, which in return is great for us affiliates.

How exactly is it done? In a nutshell the process involves the following:
1. Choose a product you want to promote
2. Create a website (there is a very easy way to do this) to promote the product
3. Do traffic assault to get visitors to you site (so they can click to the merchant's page)
4. Receive commission when a sale is made

I hope you are getting excited, because I am. You see, this is not a scam because you do need to put some effort to earn your income, but it is not hard to do, in fact it will get easier and easier the more you do it. The saying 'practice makes perfect' goes in here too.
